Above are the resumes I created; the first one being the original and the following two catered to finance and healthcare. The prompt I put into chat GPT was “Create two alternate versions of your resume targeted toward different industries or roles of your choice: Finance and Healthcare”. I then asked it to create a separate pdf document for each unique resume, that way I can put it in a clean format as shown above. The key differences between the resumes is the tone and the choice of language were carefully suited and catered to the different industries that I chose. Although they portray the same jobs, experience, and volunteer service, they slightly differ to meet the industries asks requests. I have learned that tailoring content, yet still keeping the main messages can play to one’s advantage severely, since employers look for people to fit their industries roles. By tweaking and altering one’s resume, there can be a higher chance of landing that job due to the key aspects a potential boss is looking for.
